ChatGPT and its company: What’s new?
OpenAI introduced a new pilot subscription plan for ChatGPT called ChatGPT Plus, which aims to monetize the technology from $20 per month, after ChatGPT became a sensation on the internet. More features and capabilities of ChatGPT are available to users with ChatGPT Plus, such as customizable settings, longer and more diverse responses, and priority support. However, before using the service that comes with ChatGPT Plus, users must agree to stricter terms of service and ethical guidelines. Click here to get even more info on the subject!
Meanwhile, ChatGPT Inc., the company that hired ChatGPT as its CEO, has expanded its services and customer base. In addition to web development, content creation, marketing, consulting, and education, the company now offers stock predictions, legal advice, medical diagnosis, and personal coaching. The company has also attracted more customers from different industries and regions who are interested in using ChatGPT’s services. A recent study by researchers from Stanford University and MIT showed that traditional models are worse at predicting how news headlines will impact stocks than ChatGPT. The study found that figuring out how news headlines could influence the sentiment of investors and traders towards a stock was something that chatGPT was pretty good at. The study also showed that realistic and relevant news headlines based on stock movements could be generated by ChatGPT.
Amazon, one of the biggest competitors of OpenAI and ChatGPT, has announced that it is “investing heavily” in large language models and generative AI. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said in a letter to shareholders that the company has been working on its own large language models for a while and believes they will transform and improve customer experiences. Amazon also introduced a new service called Bedrock, which makes foundation models from Amazon, AI21 Labs, Anthropic, and Stability AI accessible to clients via an API. OpenAI, a research company that strives to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI), or AI that can do anything a human can do, created ChatGPT, an AI chatbot. ChatGPT relies on a large language model (LLM) named GPT-4, which was trained using an unparalleled amount of data and compute. GPT-4 can generate coherent and fluent text based on a given input, such as a question, a prompt, or a keyword. Without requiring any special prompting, ChatGPT can also accomplish tasks that cover mathematics, coding, vision, medicine, law, psychology and more. For example, it can solve novel and difficult problems like creating recipes from the contents of a fridge, passing the bar exam and the SAT math test, and writing computer code in most programming languages. It can also generate creative content such as poems, stories, jokes, and songs. Microsoft hosts ChatGPT on its Bing search engine, which lets anyone use it for free. You can chat with ChatGPT by typing your message in the chat box and waiting for its response. To give it feedback, you can also use emojis to rate its responses.
