50 Years Later, Residents May Share Stories Again It has been 50 years since Chincoteague and Assateague Islands went under water from the now famous Ash Wednesday Storm of ’62. The stories of survival and evacuation have been told and retold down through the years. Island residents and visitors are invited to share their stories
